Guidelines: Contributors

If you would like to be a contributing author, please leave a comment stating so and also email a writing sample (between 100 and 500 words) to: in.want.of.a.reader@gmail.com.  In your comment, make sure you include the email address you’ll be sending your sample from.

The following criteria must be met in order for us to approve you as a contributing author:

• Writing Sample sent to the email address above.
• Email must include your pen name and the country you’re in.
• You must be willing to correspond with one of us via email.
• Your writing sample must have correct grammar, spelling and sentence structure.*
• Read the Posting Schedule.
• Be prepared to actually contribute on said schedule.

Understand that only original fiction and fan-fiction works will be accepted. We also accept poems and creative essays or metas. We will accept memoir-style writings provided that it has been turned into fiction. We also accept Original Character fan-fiction.

Although we would like you, ideally, to comment here before sending us an email, please do not comment excessively to this post. Thank you.

* Although we value correct grammar, spelling and sentence structure….for the right author, a great writer, we are willing to do a bit of work on your pieces so that they read smoothly. Our editor, Toni Travis, is a grammar obsessive who happily cleans up posts here when needed. However, this isn’t an editing room – so have some patience and do try to submit your best work.
